Description:
Cats is a native plant of the West Indies. Commonly planted as an ornamental plant in the yard or in parks. Shrubs, grow upright, 1-3 m tall. Stem round, branching simpodial, rough surface, greenish brown. Leaves single, long-stemmed, alternate location. Leaf blade ovate or oval shape, pointed tip, base obtuse, serrated edge, pertulangan pinnate, 12-20 cm long, 6-16 cm wide,
light green. Unisexual flowers in a tree. Female flowers together in a bouquet shaped grains out of the armpit leaves, long round shape dangle down, 1 to 1.5 cm in diameter, 20-50 cm long, red. The fruit is round, small, hairy, green. Seeds are round, small, dirty white. Cats can be propagated by seed.

Local Name:
NAME OF Indonesia: tail cat, cats, monkeys. Java: dog leash (Sunda), Wunga mine, lancuran (Java), follow langur (Bali). Maluku: lofoti (Ternate). FOREIGN NAME Gou wei hong (C), kattestaart (B), chenille plant, monkey's tail, cat's tail (I). NAME Simplisia Acalyphae hispidae Flos (flower cats), Acalyphae hispidae Folium (leaf cats).

Composition:
