Description:

Terna large, annual, up to 2 m., The ground has a thick rhizome as sweet. The leaves are large and wide, nyirip clear green (no colored tengguli). Large flowers with bright colors (red, yellow) are arranged in a series of shaped bunches. Fruits such as fruit kendaga, seeds many, round. Almost always grown as an ornamental plant, but it grows wild in the forests and the mountains to an altitude of 1,000 above sea level. The other type, Canna edulis To Gawl. (Canna) have smaller petals, green leaves with a ping over tengguli tengguli. Planted as an ornamental, edible rhizomes, in Australia as a producer of flour, known as the "arrowroot of Queensland".

Description:

Eight flowers found growing wild in wastelands, edge drains, and generally grow in groups. Plants that come from the West Indies can be found at an altitude of 10-250 m above sea level, in places exposed to direct sunlight or a slightly shielded. Herba pen upright with roots from 0.3 to 0.8 m in length is a single leaf, elliptical oval, base wedge-shaped, pointed tip, serrated edges rough, bone pinnate leaves, having glands, 2-7 cm long and the width of 1 -4 cm. Flowers bloom at about 8 am and wilt at about 12 noon. Petals oval shape breech, at the base brown, light yellow on it, and twisted time bud. Wide egg-shaped fruit, the seeds of more than 30. Propagation by seed.
