Description:
Annual herb, erect, ± 50 cm, generally planted kitchen
garden as plant medicine. Young stems are green with lengthwise grooves
tengguli colors, if somewhat old branched. Single leaf, has a stalk, form
elongated oval to round. Tapering ends. Older leaves deeply divided. Leaves
mostly clustered in the bottom, a little sparse at
the end of the stem,
alternate location. Both leaf surfaces soft haired, white. Color of leaf
surface dark green, light green bottom. Leaves 8-20 cm long. width of 5-10 cm.
Flowers is located at the end of the rod, hump-shaped yellow color (flower
heads). Having colored bulbs to ash-gray, 3-6 cm long., With cross sections of
± 3 cm.
Local Name:
Beluntas china, god leaves (Sumatra), Samsit; San qi cao
(China).;
Curable Disease:
Injury hit, bleeding, coughing blood, vomiting blood,
nosebleeds; Infection throat, do not come menstruation, bitten by venomous
animals; clotting of blood, broken bones, bleeding after childbirth;
Utilization:
PART USED: Whole plant.
PURPOSE:
LEAF:
Injury blow, circulation, stop bleeding (Coughing up blood,
vomiting blood, nosebleeds), breast swelling, throat infections, do not come
menstruation, bitten by venomous animals.
Bulbs:
Remove blood clots (haematom) swelling, broken bones
(fractures), bleeding after childbirth.
USAGE: 15-30 grams of fresh leaves, boiled or ground then
squeezed, drink.
EXTERNAL USE: Enough of this plant are crushed up like mush,
attached to a hospital.
PURPOSE:
1. Bitten by a snake / bitten by another animal:
Bulbs crushed then taped in
place abnormality.
2. Warts:
5 pieces of crushed leaves of
the gods, and dilumurkan in place
warty, then bandaged. Released
the next day.
HOW TO USE:
1. Injury hit, do not come menstruation:
15-30 grams of herb boiled or

boiled, drinking.

6-9 grams of fresh tubers added
yellow wine (wong ciu) to taste,
then heated, drink.
