Description:
Daruju grows wild in coastal areas, river
banks, and other tempattempat muddy and watery swamp land. Annual shrubs,
trunked wet, growing upright or lying at the base, 0.5 to 2 m high, berumpun
lot. Round cylindrical rod, a little weak, smooth, brown, long and sharp
thorns. Leaves single, short-stemmed, lies face crossed. Elongated leaf blade
or lancet, base and pointed tip, edges bercangap pinnate with prickly edges
paste, 9-30 cm long, 4-12 cm wide. Compound interest gathered in grains 6-30 cm
in length, out of the tip of the stem, crown bluish purple flowers. The fruit
of fruit boxes, oval, ± 3 cm long, blackish brown. Kidney-shaped seeds, the
numbers 2-4 pieces. Its roots form taproot, yellowish white. Daruju can be
propagated by seed.
